It’s crazy to think it’s been 10 days since this nightmare began!  

Mike had a good day yesterday. We had a nice visit with his sons in the morning. He requested specific food and drink that we all brought to him. 

He and I watched a couple movies together and had those nice conversations that couples do, chatting about our future together and all the things we are looking forward to 💕

A quiet day. A calm day. A mostly comfortable, pain-managed day.

He remembered it was Easter and wanted to go to church with me. I told him next time, we will go together but for now, he needs to rest and get stronger. He wanted to get Easter baskets for his boys. I assured him the Easter bunny had made a visit. 

The sermon on Easter Sunday was a great reminder of Hope. Jesus represents the Living Hope. If we know God, it doesn’t mean we are immune to experiencing challenges or difficulty in life. But it means we are not alone. God is there with us and, boy, has He shown up big-time for Mike.
