The nighttime nurse told me Mike had a good night. He was able to get some rest. Still, his pain is a 10/10. They tried a little bit of morphine to take the edge off but it doesn’t give him relief for very long. They approved small doses of tramadol more frequently to see if that will help.
I’m attending church and then will see Mike afterwards. I need my friends and to hear the Pastor’s message. It always gives me peace and calms my heart.
After the service, my growth group (Bible study group) gathers around me. They put hands on my shoulders, my back, and my arms. They pray for me to have strength, for Mike, for God’s healing upon him to stop the bleed and relieve the pressure on the brain.
When I see Mike at the hospital, I get an update from the nurses. Neurosurgery saw him and changed his blood pressure meds. They took away the ones that didn’t seem to be working.
And as a great sign of improvement, they changed his neuro checks from every hour to every two hours! Mike’s pain is now at a 5/10.
The new head CT shows no fresh blood, no active bleed.
An answer to prayer.
